Many sites can be subject to flood related development controls. This is typically due to the site lying within a floodplain or an overland flow path. In most cases, Council will have conducted large scale flood studies to have already obtained flood levels during critical events which typically include the 100-year flood level. These reports can be obtained directly fromcouncil, which we then use to assess the site and provide a certificatestating the flood planning levels as well as other flood related development controls. We do such certificates & reports typically from $450.
In the case where council does not have flood data on lots that lie in an overland flow path, the site may require a site-specificflood study. In this instance, a detailed hydraulic model is performed by where pre-development and post-developmentflow factors are determined. During the model, sensible, cost-effective and practical mitigation measures will be modelled and ultimately recommended to ensure that pre-development factors are maintained for the proposed works.We provide a detailed report with flood extent mapping typically starting from $3500 + GST with prices varying on the project.
